The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React “Cactus Trails – Friends & Family” is an unreleased version of the hip-hop star’s collaboration with Nike on the lifestyle shoe that features a backwards Swoosh logo not found on the version of the shoe released by Nike at retail. Originally from Summer 2020, the “Cactus Trails” Air Max 270 React features Scott’s singular brew of retro Texas rodeo-meets-hip-hop aesthetics. The release was a departure from the collaborations Scott was a part of with Nike and Jordan on the Air Force 1, Air Jordan 4, and other retro models. The rare “Friends & Family” edition is similar to the shoe released by Nike at retail, save for the large backwards brown leather Swoosh found on either side of the shoe. The orange Swoosh that appeared on the retail version of Travis Scott’s “Cactus Trails” was placed on the grey felt collar. The upper features wavy cream synthetic overlays sitting atop a tonal mesh base. Fuzzy light grey felt details the collar and mid-panel. A pre-yellowed React midsole gives off a vintage look. The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React “Cactus Trails – Friends & Family” was never released to the public and was given to those close to the Houston rapper.
